Chocolate wonders
This dessert is for serious ‘chocoholics’. It’s oh so simple and oh so good. These have been a staple in my family for years. See how there were 4 wonders pictured above? Well, about 10 seconds after this picture was taken, only 1 remained for the hubby and to be honest if he hadn’t know about these, I probably would have gobbled down all 4.
Ingredients:
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
6 tbsp coco
1 cup shredded coconut
3 cups oatmeal
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Combine sugar, butter, milk and coco and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cool slightly (about 10 minutes). Once cool, mix in coconut, oatmeal, salt and vanilla.
Spoon (approximately 1 tbsp for each wonder) onto wax paper and let set for one hour. Makes about 30 wonders.
~ Enjoy

I used to have these growing up. I haven’t had them in years. So good. How is your little guy doing? I don’t think I said congratulations! I’ve been a little mia from the blog world lately too.. but I don’t have as good of an excuse
I hope you are enjoying motherhood! You’re going to have to change your header from soon-to-be mom to new mom
Thanks Adrienne! You’re so right, I HAVE to change my header – I’ve been a mom now for 2 months and every day I plan on changing it. If only my little guy would nap a longer…ah well, the joys of parenthood!
Ah, does this recipe ever bring back childhood memories! Congrats again on your new mommyhood! I’ve heard that he is simply gorgeous!
Thanks Punky! He’s a real sweetie (well, most of the time). Hope you get to meet him soon:)
