Italian Getaway

Staycations are great. No cramming into planes and trains…no packing and unpacking. Easy on the wallet.

Staying close to home is easy and easy (especially if you’ve got tots in tow) is peaceful. Curl up with a book, visit all your neighborhood parks, eat out and order in. Stay up late. Sleep in late. Days filled with loads of mini adventures and day trips. These are what staycations are made of, and these are all very good things.

But since I’m feeling nostalgic, here are some throwback pics from what was the total opposite of a staycation—Italy, two weeks, three cities, one proposal, no kids in tow. It was bliss.
